Shame, Shame, Shame on the Senate of the United States of America. Against the hard brick wall of partisan blocking, President Obama brought out the big “guns” (so to speak) of almost the only thing sure to turn hearts of stone into human hearts: the eyes of those who had lost loved ones in the Newtown Massacre. And believe it or not, the Senate didn’t blink. They stood their ground against all reason. Read, and please remember come election time, how your Senator voted. Did he/she vote in a way that really represents what you believe in?
The Senate trampled through the salty puddles of tears from the combined families with weak excuses like: continue reading more

“My stomach sank just a little”. These were the words spoken by a pastor Wednesday evening after President Barack Obama infamously became the first sitting American President to support same-sex marriage. I have to admit that these words also come very close to describing the tightening feeling knotted in my own gut the moment I heard the President’s interview. I’ll tell you why. continue reading

Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is beginning to wear a little thin on me. It seems like all he ever does anymore is present himself as an agent for President Barack Obama. That’s right, I said it. He is like an undercover mole working to make sure that President Obama’s name is mentioned so much that when people walk into the voting booth, that’s all they will remember is President Obama’s name, and therefore, awash in a sense of familiarity, vote accordingly. continue reading more

This time it’s Kansas House Speaker Mike O’Neal. Mere words cannot describe how disturbing this is! If he was joking, it is not funny. If he was serious….urghh. This is the house speaker yall. What kind of example is he setting for the people of his state? I hope he has been put under 24-hour surveillance and is given a thorough pat down from now on when he comes anywhere near President Obama. And to wish the innocent Obama children (who are NOT his political rivals) fatherless? He sounds like a terribly loose cannon to be a political official. In the words of one poster, this is frightening nuttery.

In the words of another poster, he should be recalled immediately for

Good Afternoon everyone. This picture right here speaks 2 million words. Arizonians you need to take your governor in the corner room and give her a stern talking to about how she’s representing you in front of the world. You don’t stick your finger in the President’s face. Wait a minute, it goes far beyond that. Even if he wasn’t the President, you don’t go sticking your finger in someone’s face.

As adults we have learned, or should have learned by now, that we speak and communicate our points of view with our mouths and NOT our hands. She knows good and well if he had been seen wagging his finger in her face, Gloria Allred (allegedly) and every feminist women’s group in the country would have been up in arms. Well that goes both ways lady! Put your hands in your pockets if you can’t control yourself. Thank you.

I am beyond appalled by an article I read this morning. You can read the sordid details of the article here . Even though there was no profanity used, the level of insult is exceedingly high and disturbing.
What disturbs me about the situation is that Congress member (I can’t even bring myself to call him a CongressMAN right now) Jim Sensenbrenner is setting a dangerous and insulting precedent in the already volatile world of politics. continue reading more

For the past few weeks Congress has been very publicly going back and forth with President Barack Obama regarding the debt ceiling. I decided it’s time for us to explore this issue a little further. First, according to CNN Money, “it’s a cap set by Congress on the amount of debt the federal government can legally borrow. The cap applies to debt owed to the public (i.e., anyone who buys U.S. bonds) plus debt owed to federal government trust funds such as those for Social Security and Medicare.
From the way Congress is carrying on, quite naturally I became alarmed that President Obama must be proposing some monstrosity, the likes of which had never been seen in the history of organized government. Well fasten your seat belts because you are not going to believe what I learned. Continue reading more
